Support/FAQs

iEQ15 FAQs

Can I use the noise reduction in the iEQ or 20 Series EQs for eliminating noise in my system?

The dbx Type III & Type V noise reduction in our current EQ models (iEQ and 20 Series EQs) was not designed to be a single ended noise reduction for eliminating tape hiss or other noise. The noise reduction in our current EQ models is for lowering the inherent noise within the dbx EQ model only and will not reduce any other noise that is inherent in the system (i.e. any other device in the system).
