HARMAN Professional Solutions Appoints Algam Ibérica as the Official Distribution Partner in Spain

LONDON—HARMAN Professional Solutions, the global leader in audio, lighting, and video and control technologies, today announced a new partnership with Algam Ibérica for audio and video control product distribution in Spain. The distributor will take responsibility for branded products including AMX, JBL Professional, Crown, Soundcraft, BSS, Lexicon, and dbx.

Starting 1 July 2024, the new partnership between Algam Ibérica and HARMAN Professional will represent both companies’ shared mission of providing industry-leading audio solutions to more customers in Spain. Algam Ibérica will have full access to all HARMAN Professional audio and video control brands in the region while also providing product service, including AKG, distributed by Music Distribución.

Algam Ibérica was selected because it possesses the necessary mind-set and drive to deliver premium service and top-tier expertise on HARMAN Professional products to Spanish customers that include audio engineers, production houses, and integrators. This collaboration marks a significant stride in advancing HARMAN's objective to extend its reach to an unprecedented number of customers while delivering unparalleled audio and video control solutions.

Opened in August 2020, Let’s Chill Music & Restaurant is a stylish restaurant that offers fine dining and top-notch live entertainment in one place. Ltd reported that the venue’s management wanted an aesthetically pleasing, sophisticated audio system that could deliver impactful sound with full coverage throughout the space and accommodate a variety of events. With these requests in mind, the installation team selected JBL Professional, Crown, Soundcraft, and dbx solutions to create a versatile, modern audio system.

The stage primarily features JBL VTX A8 line array loudspeakers with patented Differential Drive woofers, Slip Stream ports and Radiation Boundary Integrators for wide coverage and pristine audio. For reinforced stability and easy installation, the team used VTX A8 AF extension bars to mount the speakers to the stage’s roof. Additionally, JBL VTX B18 subwoofers provide impactful, distortion-free bass response thanks to the built-in JBL 2288 transducer. JBL PRX815W/230D full-range speakers serving as floor monitors provide clear sound and personalized settings for the performers onstage.

Nakhon Ratchasima Sports Complex Enhances the Audience Experience With Powerful HARMAN Audio Solutions

NAKHON RATCHASIMA, Thailand—To provide spectators at the Nakhon Ratchasima Sports Complex an immersive and exciting entertainment experience, Mahajak Development Co., Ltd. installed a range of cutting-edge HARMAN Professional audio solutions.

Home to the Nakhonratchasima Mazda Football Club, the Nakhon Ratchasima Sports Complex is the fourth biggest stadium in Thailand and hosted the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2007. That same year, King Rama IX bestowed the complex’s name during an overlap between the SEA Games and the king’s birthday. The stadium area comprises the Nakhon Ratchasima FC football field, which is surrounded by a grandstand with a single roof on one side. The facility currently has a seating capacity of 25,000, but will be upgraded to 45,000 in the future.

Mahajak Development Co., Ltd. reported that the complex’s organizers requested a new high-output audio system capable of providing clear, intelligible sound with reduced reverberation during games and events. The main challenge was that the audio system needed to be installed on the roof, which only covered one side of the complex, but also had to deliver sound coverage to every seat in the stadium. To meet these challenges and requirements, Mahajak deployed dynamic and weather-resistant JBL Professional speakers, Crown audio amplifiers, Soundcraft consoles and BSS signal processors for wide coverage, ample output and easy-to-use controls.

For speakers, the Mahajak team selected JBL PD500 Series loudspeakers to cover the roof side of the grandstand and JBL Variable Line Array Compact Series line array loudspeakers to cover the rest of the venue. Designed for a variety of venues including sports facilities, the PD500 Series speakers feature four horn-loaded 15-inch, two-way systems and a dual 15-inch subwoofer for a full dynamic range and consistent coverage. The JBL Variable Line Array Compact Series speakers are ideal for long-throw applications. Crown DCi Series amplifiers with network monitoring function power the speakers, and the BSS BLU-100 signal processor offers flexible system configuration and management. The Soundcraft Si Impact digital mixing console controls the system and supports easy-to-use external wireless control for the complex’s staff.

In addition to the under balcony, the Mahajak installation team also installed JBL Control 29AV-1 speakers, powered by a Crown CDi series amplifier and configured using a dbx VENU360 signal processor, in the corridor outside of the stadium for clear and high-quality background audio.

Nakhon Ratchasima Sports Complex reported that the new audio systems meet organizers’ crucial standards of reliability, durability and flexibility. A coherent and powerful speaker system was especially essential given the stadium’s structural challenges, but HARMAN’s cutting-edge, easy-to-use audio systems delivered beyond their expectations.

Illuminating MAYFAIR Lake Resort’s amenities with dazzling lighting, Qubix Technologies deployed an aresenal of Martin fixtures. With their powerful output, compact size, energy-efficient LED and rugged, IP66-rated housing, Qubix Technologies installed 40 Martin Exterior Wash 200, 32 Exterior Wash 100 and six Exterior Wash 210 fixtures. While the Exterior Wash lights provide reliable performance and durabality to withstand weather demands, Qubix Technologies lit up the indoor spaces with two RUSH MH5 Profile compact moving heads and 96 RUSH CS1200 Graze linear wash fixtures, which offer the resort ultimate flexibility to choose the exact look they need for certain areas. The lighting system also includes eight Martin DMX 5.3 Splitters to ensure peak operation and maintain proper DMX signal throughout the hotel.

Beyond the lighting displays, Qubix Technologies also equipped MAYFAIR Lake Resort with world-class sound. Twelve JBL VRX932LAP two-way powered line array loudspeakers provide pristine audio and crystal-clear speech intelligibility, while four VRX918SP powered flying subwoofers with patented Differential Drive® 18” woofers offer impressive, accurate low-frequency response. Throughout the rest of the resort’s indoor spaces, Qubix Technologies installed an array of JBL Control 10 Series, Control Contractor 20 Series, Control 40 Series, 8100 Series and Control CRV Architectural speakers, including 50 CRV White speakers, 64 JBL 8124, 56 Control 47HC, 50 Control 12C/T and 30 Control 24CT ceiling loudspeakers as well as eight Control 23-1, four Control 28-1 and two Control 25-1 two-way speakers.

Completing the indoor sound systems, Qubix Technologies deployed four AC599 and AC18/95 two-way loudspeakers, one AC115S 15” high-powered subwoofer, four SRX828S subwoofers as well as many more JBL speakers. Delivering excellent audio outdoors and providing guests a complete, immersive sound experience, MAYFAIR Lake Resort features 50 Control 85M landscape speakers, 14 AWC82 all-weather loudspeakers and one AWC15LF all-weather low-frequency speaker. For public address applications that offer guests with crystal-clear announcments throughout the property, Qubix Technologies installed eight JBL CSS-H30 paging horns as well as six AKG DST99 S dynamic paging microphones.

Qubix Technologies chose Crown CDi Series amps because of their power handling capabilities and extreme durability, while AMX N1000 Series Encoders and Decoders provide MAYFAIR Lake Resort with a local AV over IP switching solution that packetizes video into a minimally compressed IP format. Yeomkwang Church Enhances the Worship Experience With a Complete HARMAN Professional Solutions Audio System

GEOJE, South Korea—To deliver clear, powerful sound during its services, Yeomkwang Church recently partnered with TechDataPS Co., Ltd. to install a state-of-the-art HARMAN Professional Solutions audio system.

Founded in 1946, Yeomkwang Church belongs to the Presbyterian Church of Korea. One of the oldest Christian houses of worship in Geoje—which is located in South Gyeongsang province—Yeomkwang Church is a massive 117,790 square-foot facility that consists of a Vision Center and a main hall. The church recently decided to upgrade their existing sound system with a modern solution capable of delivering crystal-clear sermons and musical performances. The church hired TechDataPS Co., Ltd. to design and implement an end-to-end sound system with enhanced sound quality and ease of use. To meet the client’s requirements and stay within budget, TechDataPS selected a range of advanced JBL speakers, Soundcraft mixers, Crown power amplifiers, dbx processors, and AKG microphones.

Throughout the venue, TechDataPS installed a range of JBL professional speakers. Versatile JBL VT4886 loudspeakers, high-powered AM7215/64 loudspeakers and compact VT4883 subwoofers provide crystal-clear sound in the main hall. Chosen for its compact design, TechDataPS fitted a VTX M20 as the pastor monitor speaker and selected a JRX212 as the stage monitor speaker. For the choir, a CBT50LA-1 loudspeaker was installed to provide highly directional sound, while an AC18/26 loudspeaker was introduced in the upper balcony to provide maximum bandwidth. Additionally, a CONTROL 14C/T full-range ceiling speaker was fitted in the baby room so families, children and their caretakers can still experience sermons and the choir.

The setup also features Soundcraft Vi1000 mixing consoles and Vi Stageboxes, which are routed to front-of-house via redundant analog and digital AES/EBU connections to ensure reliable audio. The system is powered by Crown IT4x3500HDS, DCi 2|600N, and DCi 8|300N amplifiers and is networked using BSS BLU Link technology, a high-bandwidth, low-latency audio bus that operates via AES.

To ensure crystal-clear audio with even distribution, the speakers were configured using dbx equalization and speaker management systems. At the church’s request, TechDataPS provided dbx PMC16 personal monitor systems, which enable performers to create their own custom monitor mixes using up to 16 channels of audio. The system is powered by Crown IT4x3500HD and DCi 2|600N amplifiers via BLU Link integration.

To deliver exceptional speech and vocal clarity, TechDataPS equipped the main hall of the church with world-class AKG microphones. This setup included an AKG C214 large-diaphragm condenser microphone for the choir, a C214 for stage rigging, a Drum Set Session I microphone package, a PZM6 D high-performance hemispherical boundary layer microphone and D5 CS handheld microphones.

TechDataPS installed JBL AM5215/95/ASB6115 loudspeakers and subwoofers to deliver full-range sound throughout the middle chapel. An EON612 multipurpose self-powered PA speaker was installed as the pastor monitor speaker, and a JRX212 was chosen as the stage monitor. Soundcraft Si Impact mixing consoles control the system, which is powered by Crown CDi DriveCcore 4|600 and CDi DriveCore 2|1200 power amplifiers.

The other rooms of the church were fitted with JBL EON615 speakers and Soundcraft Signature and EPM Series consoles. JBL Control 14C/T speakers were installed in the café for background music and announcements. The system is controlled using a Soundcraft EPM6 mixer, and powered by Crown XLi800 amplifiers.

SEOUL, South Korea—To enhance the elegant atmosphere for weddings at LUVEL Gangdong with crystal-clear audio for speech and music, TechDataPS Co., Ltd. recently supplied the venue with an end-to-end HARMAN Professional Solutions audio system.

One of several venues owned by Apelgamo Wedding & Party, LUVEL Gangdong is an upscale wedding hall located on the 35th and 36th floors of East Central Tower in Seoul’s Gangdong district. Featuring design elements and decor reminiscent of French formal gardens, the venue’s wedding hall can accommodate 160 guests, while the reception hall can host up to 500. To create unforgettable experiences for the betrothed and their guests, LUVEL Gangdong required a high-quality yet user-friendly audio system capable of providing powerful and clear sound reinforcement for speech and music. To achieve these goals, TechDataPS outfitted LUVEL Gangdong with an end-to-end HARMAN audio system consisting of JBL, Crown, Soundcraft, Lexicon, dbx, BSS and AKG solutions.

According to TechData, their client placed a high value on sound quality and clarity, and requested a solution that could be integrated harmoniously with the interior of the wedding hall. Collaborating with an interior design company from start to finish, TechData had the loudspeakers custom-painted and installed mounting brackets separately to make the audio system blend in seamlessly with the interior.

To achieve clear, intelligible speech and music amplification, TechData PS deployed a variety of specialized JBL loudspeakers throughout the venue. JBL CBT 70J-1, CBT 70JE-1 and CBT 50LA-1 line array column loudspeakers provide main sound reinforcement with precise directivity and focused coverage. JBL Control 25AV, Control 25AV-WH and Control 23-1 background/foreground loudspeakers supply additional coverage throughout the venue, while JBL 305P MKII studio monitors and AKG K612 PRO headphones give staff an accurate reference for mixing.

In addition to being a retail outlet for the brand’s extensive footwear and apparel line, VANS Brand Showcase Store Gangnam aims to immerse visitors in the company’s history and style. Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center Upgrades to HARMAN Professional Solutions Audio Systems

SHANGHAI—Shanghai ACE, a branch of ACE (International) Co., Ltd, recently installed an end-to-end HARMAN Professional Solutions networked audio system at the National Exhibition and Convention Center complex.

At 15.8 million square feet, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai is the largest convention facility of its kind in the world. The massive complex has a unique four-leaf-clover shape, with four main exhibit halls totaling 5.4 million square feet branching off from a central plaza. In preparation for the inaugural China International Import Expo, an international trade fair proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, the facility underwent extensive renovations in 2018. The NECC hired HARMAN distributor Shanghai ACE to upgrade the facility with a complete HARMAN networked audio solution including JBL loudspeakers, Crown amplifiers, dbx and BSS signal processors and Soundcraft mixers.

“Due to the rigid security of state leader conferences, there were strict requirements for the renovation project of the National Exhibition and Convention Center,” said a spokesperson at Shanghai ACE. “We designed the HARMAN audio system to meet the toughest standards with excellent performance and high flexibility. Following the China Import Expo show, this audio system will continue to deliver premium audio quality for many more large-scale conferences and exhibitions.”

To cover the entire complex with high-definition sound, Shanghai ACE installed a wide range of JBL loudspeakers suited to different roles. The main sound systems in the exhibition halls are comprised of VRX and VTX Series line array elements, which provide ample power and coverage to fill the immense pillarless spaces. Additional sound reinforcement is provided by JBL AM Series loudspeakers with switchable bi-amp/tri-amp design for added flexibility. CBT Series column loudspeakers utilize Constant Beamwidth Technology to deliver ultra-consistent vertical coverage for specialized applications. LSR Series nearfield monitors provide accurate sound for mixing and reference. For outdoor sound reinforcement with wireless flexibility, Shanghai ACE provided JBL EON 600 portable PA systems with Bluetooth connectivity.

To power the NECC’s expansive sound system, Shanghai ACE provided 36 network-connected Crown I-Tech amplifiers and 26 DCi Series models, which deliver strong signal with clean headroom to all loudspeakers. To optimize the sound of each array and protect the loudspeakers, Shanghai ACE installed dbx loudspeaker management systems throughout the facility. The entire system is connected by a network of BSS BLU-800 and BLU-100 signal processors, which perform complex signal routing via high-speed CobraNet and Dante protocols. A total of 18 Soundcraft mixers allow sound professionals to easily mix audio for large-scale events with dozens of analog and digital inputs and an intuitive, hands-on user interface.

JAKARTA, Indonesia—To deliver clear, intelligible sound for sermons and special events, AV integrator IMS Indonesia recently outfitted GSJA Bandengan Church with a class-leading HARMAN Professional Solutions networked audio system.

Established in 1964 under the auspices of the Church of the Assemblies of God, GSJA Bandengan Church has been bringing people together for more than 50 years. Located in the heart of Jakarta, Bandengan Church hosts a variety of events including musical performances, children’s prayer conferences and special events, attracting worshipers from all age groups. The venue features a sprawling ground floor as well as a balcony with extensive seating capacity. In order to ensure pristine sound with even, balanced coverage, Bandengan Church hired AV integrators IMS Indonesia to upgrade their existing sound system with a cutting-edge networked audio solution featuring JBL loudspeakers, a Soundcraft mixing console and a dbx loudspeaker management system.

IMS Indonesia equipped Bandengan Church with JBL VRX932LAP line array loudspeakers to ensure consistent coverage in every seat for both the ground floor and balcony. By utilizing patented JBL technology, VRX932LAP loudspeakers offer extremely wide coverage without the long-throw characteristics of larger line arrays, making them ideal for applications in mid-sized houses of worship. IMS Indonesia selected JBL STX812M loudspeakers as floor monitors for their crystal-clear sound and compact design.

Signals from the stage are fed through a Soundcraft Mini Stagebox 32iEU and connected to a Soundcraft Si Impact digital mixing console via standard Cat5 cabling. The Si Impact utilizes Studer-designed preamps to deliver class-leading audio quality, while innovative workflow enhancements make it easier than ever for engineers to dial in the perfect sound. In order to protect the loudspeakers and provide additional control over audio signals, IMS Indonesia installed a DBX VENU360-V-EU loudspeaker management system, which features automatic EQ and feedback suppression technology for quick and easy setup.

ANYANG, South Korea—To deliver clear, powerful sound for sermons, musical performances and more, Indeogwon Catholic Church recently worked with TechData Co., Ltd. and BADAANT to install a state-of-the-art HARMAN Professional Solutions audio system.

The Indeogwon Catholic Church belongs to the Suwon Diocese and is located at 466 Gwanak-daero, Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. The church was established on February 14, 1997, and was dedicated to the temple on October 18, 1998. The church recently decided to upgrade their existing sound system with a modern solution capable of delivering crystal-clear sound throughout the entire venue. With the help of leading distributor TechData Co., Ltd. and integration company BADAANT, Indeogwon Catholic Church installed a cutting-edge HARMAN audio system featuring class-leading solutions from JBL, Crown, Soundcraft, AKG and dbx.

In order to deliver clear, balanced sound throughout the venue, TechData and BADAANT equipped the church with a wide range of JBL loudspeakers, including Intellivox HP-DS370 column loudspeaker arrays and AXYS B-121 G2 subwoofers, which use beam-shaping technology for unparalleled speech intelligibility. To proide additional coverage, TechData and BADAANT selected AC28/95 loudspeakers for their impressive output. TechData and BADAANT installed a pair of CBT 70J-1 line array columns with Constant Beamwidth Technology™ and asymmetrical vertical coverage to ensure sound can be heard clearly at the back of the church. Control 16C/T ceiling speakers and Control 25-1 indoor/outdoor loudspeakers were installed throughout the church to provide pristine sound in additional areas. TechData and BADAANT deployed a pair of LSR305 studio monitors at the front of house mix position to provide engineers with a reliable reference monitor that accurately translates to the PA speakers. The system is powered using Crown CDi 1000, CDi 2000 and XLI2500 amplifiers.

To capture crisp, clear sound for sermons and performances, TechData and BADAANT equipped the church with class-leading AKG microphones, including the CGN521 STS professional tabletop microphone set, C214 condenser microphone and D5 S handheld vocal microphones. To control signals from a variety of sources, TechData and BADAANT equipped the church with a Soundcraft SI-Impact digital mixing console and an EPM6 six-channel mixer for their unrivalled sound quality and versatile effects. A dbx DriveRack VENU360 loudspeaker management processor provides an array of powerful signal processors for fine-tuning the response of the system.

Busan Peniel Church Enhances the Worship Experience with A Complete HARMAN Professional Solutions Audio System

BUSAN, South Korea—To provide clear and impactful sound for worship services and other functions, TechData Co., Ltd. recently outfitted Busan Peniel Church with a state-of-the-art HARMAN audio system comprised of JBL, Crown, Soundcraft and dbx solutions.

Founded by the Voice of China and Asia Missionary Society (VOCA) in 1958, Busan Peniel Church is an interdenominational house of worship located in South Korea’s second-most-populous city. Although the church already possessed a robust sound system including JBL AM6215 loudspeakers, they chose to upgrade their facility with the latest technologies for enhanced sound quality and ease of use. Seeking a cost-effective solution with uncompromised performance, the church hired TechData to design and implement an end-to-end HARMAN Professional Solutions audio system. To meet their client’s requirements and stay within budget, TechData selected JBL VRX900 Series line array loudspeakers, Crown XTi amplifiers, dbx personal monitor controllers, and a Soundcraft Si Impact mixer and Mini Stagebox.

“This project required us to configure multiple input and output channels with maximum performance on a limited budget,” said Hyun Su Park, Sales Representative, TechData Co., Ltd. “We suggested the budget-friendly Soundcraft Si Impact and Mini Stagebox 32, which doubled their channel count from 40 to 80. To tackle the sound issues occurring during worship in the small-spaced main stage area, we installed a dbx PMC Personal Monitor Controller which allows them to create a custom mix from 16 channels of audio. We also installed JBL VRX932LA-1 line array loudspeakers that deliver flat frequency response and high output levels. After comparing other products to the HARMAN Professional audio solutions, we concluded that they are superior in both quality and cost efficiency. The client was extremely pleased with the new system.”

TechData upgraded the church’s main sound system with JBL VRX932LA-1 line array loudspeakers to achieve the best possible sound quality with maximum coverage and minimal power consumption. The two-way VRX932LA-1 features JBL’s neodymium Differential Drive woofer, paired with three Annular Ring Diaphragm high-frequency drivers, delivering extremely accurate sound reproduction from 57Hz-20kHz. Constant Curvature waveguides ensure optimal coverage and array coherence with a 100 x 15-degree dispersion pattern.

TechData selected Crown XTi Series amplifiers to power the JBL line arrays, creating a perfectly matched system with adequate power and headroom. The XTi amplifiers feature HiQnet System Architect control software, which provides full control of routing, EQ, crossover and more via USB, allowing users to fine-tune the system for optimal performance. Additional features include subharmonic synthesis for extra low-end and Peakx Plus Limiters to protect the system from extreme signal peaks.

A Soundcraft Si Impact digital mixing console provides a powerful, easy-to-use solution for mixing sound in the church. With 32 microphone inputs and up to 80 total channels of powerful DSP, the Si Impact can handle anything from a simple sermon to a full band and choir. The streamlined, hands-on interface with illuminated FaderGlow controls simplifies even the most complex mixes. On stage, a Soundcraft MSB32i Mini Stagebox puts all 32 mic inputs within easy reach, while dbx PMC16 Personal Monitor Controllers allow church musicians to adjust their own monitor mixes with ease.

Wat Pathum Wanaram Temple, Bangkok

The Opportunity

Constructed in 1993, Phrarajasatta Pavilion is a beloved addition to Wat Pathum Wanaram, a mid-19th century Buddhist temple in Bangkok. Religious devotees and general public alike use Phrarajasatta Pavilion as a sacred place to conduct daily Buddhist activities, including worship, meditation and dharma practice. After 25 years of service, temple leaders hired audio integrator Mahajak Development to replace their rapidly aging sound system.

The Solution

Mahajak Development upgraded the temple with a complete HARMAN networked sound system, comprised of premium solutions by JBL, Crown, dbx and Soundcraft.

With the objective of providing an immersive sound experience, Mahajak installed a range of JBL, Crown, dbx and Soundcraft solutions. The team equipped the pavilion with 26 JBL Control 25-1 indoor/outdoor speakers, which deliver rich sonic character, wide coverage and consistent dispersion. Its contemporary high-design appearance and versatile mounting features enabled Mahajak to seamlessly integrate each speaker into Phrarajasatta Pavilion. The Control 25-1 is the ideal speaker for houses of worship where the sound quality of background music is essential to the worship experience.

Mahajak utilized a Crown CDi 1000 two-channel amplifier to power the speakers and a dbx DriveRack VENU360 loudspeaker management system for optimize system performance. To ensure professional and polished mixes for events at Phrarajasatta Pavilion, Mahajak included a Soundcraft Signature 22 mixing console, which provides exceptional clarity, dynamic range and a superb signal-to-noise ratio.

Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School Elevates Learning Experiences with HARMAN Professional Solutions

BANGKOK, THAILAND—Mahajak Development Co. Ltd. recently deployed a cutting-edge HARMAN Professional Solutions AV system at the Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School to enrich the learning environment for staff and students.

Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School (Bangkok Prep) is one of the top international schools in Thailand. In order to enable staff and students to easily utilize audiovisual devices in the classroom, Bangkok Prep hired Mahajak Development Co. Ltd. to implement a cutting-edge HARMAN Professional AV system featuring JBL loudspeakers, Crown amplifiers, AMX and dbx signal processors and Martin lighting software.

“A simple but dynamic audio solution was required to make a powerful impact on students' learning,” said Pongsakorn Kanchanachayphoom, Director of Project, Mahajak Development Co. Ltd. “Bangkok Prep asked us to install an audio system that would make it easier for students to hear—no matter where they’re sitting. They also requested a user-friendly touch-panel interface so staff and students can control the system with minimal technical assistance. We decided to go with HARMAN Professional products because of their unrivaled flexibility, superior sound quality and intuitive controls.”

Mahajak installed JBL SRX715 two-way loudspeakers and an SRX718S satellite subwoofer system to provide comprehensive coverage and extended low-frequency output during live performances. JBL JRX112M two-way stage monitors deliver crystal-clear audio, making it easy for artists to hear themselves during performances. JBL Control 2P C2PS and CONTROL 24CT in-ceiling speakers are used to achieve high-quality sound in enclosed spaces like classrooms and auditoriums. The system is powered using Crown XTi -4000, CDi1000 and XLS402D amplifiers.

An AMX NX-2200 NetLinx NX Integrated Controller and PSR4.4 power supply are used to connect AV devices throughout the facility, while TPC-IPAD software allows users to control the entire system via Apple^®mobile devices. A dbx DriveRack 260 loudspeaker management system, AFS224 Advanced Feedback Suppression processor and 231V graphic equalizer are used to ensure that the system sounds its very best. Martin LightJockey 2 lighting control software and M-DMX interface offer control of up to 100 DMX fixtures for creating dynamic, immersive lighting during events.

HARMAN Professional Solutions Audio Systems Deliver Quality Sound in All Weather at Sun World Bà Nà Hills

DANANG, Vietnam—BaSao Investment recently installed a robust, all-weather HARMAN Professional Solutions audio system at Sun World Bà Nà Hills.

Situated high in the Trường Sơn Mountains, Bà Nà Hills is one of five Sun World resort destinations in Vietnam operated by Sun Group. The resort is built around a hundred-year-old French village accessed by the longest cable car system in the world, with attractions including high-end lodging and dining, extravagant gardens, a wax museum and a theme park based on the works of Jules Verne. For their daily outdoor carnival shows, Sun Group required a robust audio system that could deliver high-quality sound and complete crowd coverage, while also withstanding inclement weather. To meet these goals, BaSao Investment deployed an end-to-end HARMAN audio solution incorporating JBL all-weather loudspeakers, Crown amplifiers, dbx DriveRack processors and Soundcraft Si digital mixers.

"Sun World Bà Nà Hills requested a powerful outdoor audio system that would help them achieve excellent sound quality and coverage to enhance their carnival events throughout the year,” said Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Sales Director at BaSao Investment. “The JBL, Crown, Soundcraft and dbx equipment from HARMAN gave us unsurpassed sonic performance as well as total coverage and consistency for the audience.”

BaSao selected JBL AW526 all-weather loudspeakers for the installation, which feature Progressive Transition waveguides for impressive 120° x 60° coverage. 500-Watt AWC15LF subwoofers extend the system’s low-frequency capability to 45Hz with the same weather-resistant construction. Crown MA 5000i amplifiers power the system with onboard analog signal processing and built-in network connectivity. For mixing tasks, BaSao took advantage of the Soundcraft Si Expression 1 console’s 64-input expansion slot to accommodate the festival’s many performers. They also chose the dbx DriveRack VENU360 loudspeaker management system to optimize and protect the system with advanced AutoEQ and AFS algorithms.
